Does it makes sense to spend nearly 3000 Crores of tax payers money on Sethu Samudram Project see what we are getting:-
- Saving of only 120 Nautical miles of travelling distance (from a mariner's stand point, does not make any nautical sense.)
- Approximately saving around 2-3 hours time
- Canal can be utilised only by small and medium sized (tonnage capacity) ships which requires less than 12m depth
- Movement of ships at reduced speed i.e around 6-8 knots (around 50% of normal speed)
- Requires continuos dredging work throught out the year to make the channel navigable
May God bless ...Those political hypocratic B******S who want to complete this project at any cost by digging across RAM Sethu.
